The hiring organisation is a well-established company in the retail industry, known for its strong market presence and commitment to delivering quality to its customers. The organisation operates at a large scale, focusing on excellence within its Procurement & Supply Chain department. Our client's head office is in Kwazulu-Natal, Durban.
- Develop and implement IT procurement strategies to support business objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of IT solutions.
- Analyse market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and innovation in the retail industry.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand IT requirements and align procurement activities accordingly.
- Negotiate contracts with IT suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues to maintain high standards.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry regulations.
- Support the Procurement & Supply Chain department's strategic goals.
A successful Strategic Category Manager (IT) should have:
- A proven track record in IT procurement within the retail industry
- Strong knowledge of procurement strategies and supplier management.
- Experience in contract negotiation and cost management.
- Ability to analyse market trends and drive innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A degree or qualification in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
