Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock and materials
Verify deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes
Store items correctly according to company procedures
Issue stock to authorised personnel and maintain accurate records
Conduct regular stock counts and assist with stock takes
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the store area
Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies
Ensure correct labelling, binning, and stock rotation
Prepare stock for dispatch or collection
Comply with health, safety, and security procedures
Systems & Administration
Capture stock movements on inventory systems or stock registers
Maintain accurate documentation for audit purposes
Use basic computer systems and handheld scanners where applicable
Health, Safety & Compliance
Follow Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) requirements
Use PPE correctly and report unsafe conditions
Assist with loss prevention and stock security
Skills & Competencies
Good organisational and time-management skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic computer literacy (MS Excel / inventory systems)
Good communication skills
Physically fit and able to perform manual handling duties
Experience & Qualifications
Grade 10-12 (Matric advantageous)
1-3 years' experience in a store, warehouse, or stock control role
Forklift licence (advantageous)
Experience in inventory control systems beneficial
Working Conditions
Warehouse or site-based environment
May involve manual lifting and standing for extended periods
Shift work or overtime may be required
