Position : Store Assistant / Backup Driver

Location : Paarl

Key Job Responsibilities (but not limited to)

Ensuring that all stock is packed in allocated areas when received. Ensuring that sufficient stock levels are maintained. Picking orders for loading from picking slips. Loading vans and checking orders picked with checker. Assisting drivers with deliveries as and when required. Loading van from delivery note. Check that goods being loaded correspond with delivery note. Ensure that correct / relevant stock is loaded before leaving premises. Ensure that there are no shortages / overages before leaving premises. Ensure that correct / relevant stock is delivered to relevant customer. Responsible for COD's / cash collected from COD deliveries. Ensure that GRN's are made out for all stock returned. Make deliveries when required. Responsible for all traffic fines incurred. Ensure that the vehicle is securely parked and locked at night and keys are handed to Store Manager before leaving premises. Ensuring that store is always neat and tidy according to specified standards. Ensuring that the store is always secured according to company rules & regulations. Assist with stock counts, stock take preparation and stock take. Assist the Internal Sales team with customer orders, queries, and general coordination. Provide back-up support to sales staff during peak periods or staff absence.

Requirements:

Matric with Math's / Math's Literacy

Computer Literate (MS Office)

Valid Driver's License - Code 8 (PDP)

Must be willing to work overtime when required.

Strong attention to detail

Excellent communication skills

Good numeracy skills

Evidence of sound logical thinking

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & under pressure as needed.

Detail oriented, strong organizational skills, and high degree of accuracy.
