Tsebo Facilities Solutions is looking for a Storeman who will be Responsible for receiving, storing, assembling, packing and/or unpacking of goods as well as despatching goods from the store in line with standard policies, procedures and processes

Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibility

  • Receive, check, and accurately record all incoming stock against delivery notes and purchase orders.
  • Maintain daily records of stock received and stock delivered to the relevant buildings, departments, or sites.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of stock items to the correct locations as per requisitions.
  • Manage the complete stock process, including documentation, filing, and updating of systems.
  • Place orders timeously to ensure adequate stock levels are always available.
  • Apply proper stock management practices, including rotation of stock (FIFO - first in, first out), to minimise waste, damage, or expiry.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records, ensuring all movements are documented.
  • Conduct regular stock takes and reconcile physical counts with system records.
  • Ensure that all stock is securely stored and that loading bay/store doors are locked when not in use.
  • Keep the store area clean, safe, and neatly always organised.
  • Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediately to the Manager.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and fire regulations in the store environment

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting ways to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise stock management.
  • Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of company documentation and information.
  • Participate in training, upskilling, and development programmes as required by management.
  • Contribute to effective teamwork by supporting colleagues across departments when required.
  • Uphold company values and demonstrate professional conduct in all interactions.
  • Assist in audits, compliance checks, and reporting requirements when necessary.
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of stock control processes, including receiving, issuing, and rotation of stock (FIFO).
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records for all stock movements.
  • Basic computer literacy (email, inventory systems, spreadsheets).
  • Organised, methodical, and detail-orientated with good time management.
  • Practical problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of safe lifting, storage, and handling practices.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a warehouse/store environment.
  • Basic technical aptitude for handling and storing maintenance-related stock items.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with supervisors and other team members
  • Emotional Intelligence: ability to work with colleagues who have different ways of behaving and interacting.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and within a team.
  • Self-disciplined, motivated, energetic self -starter with an exemplary work ethos.
  • Capability to interact with both internal and external customers.

Qualifications
  • Grade 10-12
  • Trade qualification advantageous
  • Minimum 3 years' relevant store experience.
  • Working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Stock control and inventory administration.
  • Knowledge and application of Health & Safety Regulations.
