Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and experienced

Storeman with fleet experience

to join our operations team in a fast-paced shopfitting/manufacturing environment. This role is essential in ensuring smooth control of stock, tools, equipment, consumables, fleet vehicles, and related logistics to support production, installation, and operational efficiency. CANDIDATES MUST BE FROM THE SHOP-FITTING INDUSTRY.

Stores & Stock Control

o Manage daily stores operations, stock movements, and equipment control.

Receive deliveries, verify materials against purchase orders, and report discrepancies or quality issues.
- Knowledge of parts and tools

Record and store goods accurately with proper sign-in/sign-out procedures for departments and job sites. Monitor and maintain stock levels of hardware, materials, tools, consumables, and PPE. Conduct weekly/monthly stock counts and assist with cycle counts and audits. Prepare and issue stock for planned projects, installations, and production requirements. Maintain strict housekeeping and safety standards in the stores area. Track orders with suppliers and ensure timely deliveries.
Fleet & Logistics Support

Oversee daily management of company vehicles (including bakkies, trucks, and/or delivery vehicles). Coordinate vehicle bookings, usage schedules, and allocation for project and installation teams.
Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination

Liaise with suppliers for materials, repairs, and fleet services. Build and maintain reliable supplier relationships for improved pricing and availability. Collect urgent stock from suppliers when required.

Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric Certificate. Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Storeman / Stock Controller in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Hands-onfleet management or fleet coordination experience(required). Valid driver's licence
Must have shop-fitting experience and knowledge of parts and tools.
