Job Description

The primary function of the Store Manager is to improve the commercial performance of the branch by increasing its turnover and revenues, maximizing profitability, achieving all performance objectives, creating customer loyalty and reducing churn through meeting the customer's demands, in accordance with overall company policy.

Store Management and Operations



Implement the sales and service strategy as determined by the Cell C Franchisees and Sales Manager.

Conduct regular area of influence surveys, including competitor analysis, compile findings and report back to Area Manager.

Recommend and escalate changes to constantly improve business.

Identify opportunities to grow the market share.

Drive customer to the store via effective promotions and local area advertising.

Set and manage daily and weekly sales and service targets, both for the store and the Sales Consultants, to ensure achievement of monthly sales targets and customer satisfaction index.

Ensure effective sales targets communication to employees.

Maintain high levels of professionalism in job performance and shop appearance.

Monitor daily sales figures and ensure alignment with stock movement and daily sales activities.

Align store activities to proactively meet the promotional calendar of the marketing and advertising campaigns.

Ensure all sales administration is performed to the highest standard.

Ensure employees are timeously briefed and sufficiently equipped to meet the customer demands concerning marketing and advertising initiatives.

Ensure the store compiles with the store layout plan, merchandising, POD displays, in adherence to the standard branding.

Ensure the store environment including all fixtures and fittings are maintained to impeccable standards.

Ensure the store and employees provide a consistently positive reflection of the desired brand experience.

Manage, implement and maintain merchandising sections, in store promotions, signage and displays, collateral, POS material and pricing strategies according to current guidelines and timelines.

Manages the cash component of the store.

Ensure compliance with all sales, exchange and refund policies including cash, cheque and credit card acceptance procedures.

Open and close store daily, follow all standard procedures and activate the security systems.

Manage all service related process including, but not exclusively, insurance and phone repairs.

Compile all relevant in store reports.

Customer Care / Service



Ensure that each customer is greeted professionally the moment they enter the store.

Conduct each customer interaction in a professional and friendly manner

Provide an efficient service to customers to meet their needs and expectations.

Escalate all queries, which cannot be answered.

Manage and implement customer service related best practice in conjunction with company practice and service providers.

Build effective one-on-one relationships with customers.

Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting customer expectations

Mediate and negotiate resolution of customer queries and complaints.

Ensure the sales, service and overall retail experience contributes to sustainable and positive customer relationships.

Stock Management



Protect company assets through effective inventory control and loss prevention practices.

Manage, control and order stock to ensure the correct levels are maintained and out of stock items are avoided.

Manage stock forecast and submit reports timeously to ensure correct levels of stock are on hand.

Check daily Retail Reports and attend to any variances immediately.

Ensure deliveries are correct, as per purchase order and that all damaged stock is returned timeously.

Ensure the receiving of stock takes place in the designated area

.



Oversee stock rotation

Ensure all stock movement is correctly recorded.

Oversee required daily, weekly and monthly physical stock takes.

Manage random spot checks in order to reduce stock losses.

Legislative and Contractual Compliance



Ensure that all employees follow the procedures and practices set out by the company.

Manage the store according to contractual agreement, concerning the shopping centre hours, lease requirements and general retail legislation.

Ensure hygiene and cleanliness of the store is maintained according to health standards.

Ensure all documents and filing is audit compliant.

Health and Safety Compliance



Strictly apply and adhere to Health and Safety procedures and rules.

Manage conformance to Legislation and Health, Safety and Environmental standards.

Manage, indentify and minimize exposure to operational risk.

Monitor, investigate and report all health and safety matters and incidents.

Employee Management



Ensure that the employees are properly trained and expert in all aspects of the products and services sold.

Ensure employees adhere to the policies and procedures as set out in the operations manual.

Manage employees timekeeping, breaks and daily performance.

Manage the daily schedules and re-allocate employees to complete essential duties where necessary.

Ensure that employees comply with appearance and uniform standards.

Ensure, in conjunction with HR, that employees are appraised on their sales, service and brand performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

Conduct minuted daily, weekly and monthly meetings with employees - resolve issues that arise within that week as well as the implementation of new processes.

Provide and advisory and support function.

Initiate, in conjunction with HR, the appropriate Labour Relation action required.

Uphold HR policies and procedures.

Conduct quarterly performance appraisals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R10000,00 - R11000,00 per month
