At Mr Price Sport, we're looking for a creative and strategic Store Designer to join our dynamic Visual Merchandise (VM) team. Your mission? To turn our VM strategy into impactful, customer-centric store designs that boost profitability, optimize space, and reflect our brand's energy and innovation.Responsibilities:What You'll DoDesign with Purpose

• Create innovative store layouts that maximize floor space and sales potential, tailored to store grade and aligned with South African building standards.
• Adapt designs to meet tenant criteria for new builds and ensure all plans are accurate and construction-ready.

Collaborate & Influence

• Partner with marketing, visual merchandising, and operations teams to deeply understand brand identity and store requirements.
• Ensure every design reflects our brand DNA and enhances the in-store experience.

Drive Smart Procurement

• Continuously assess fixture and fitting costs to improve capital expenditure efficiency on store builds.

Own the Numbers

• Deliver clear financial and sales reports, including ROI and cost breakdowns for new, relocated, and revamped stores.
• Manage and monitor the VM budget, approving projects that align with financial goals.

Plan & Optimize Space

• Define the ideal size and layout for product categories and fixtures to ensure accurate and effective space planning.
• Identify and resolve planogram or space-related challenges with smart, creative solutions.

Lead Monthly Store Communication

• Develop and implement monthly VM communication guides tailored to each brand and sub-category.
• Ensure consistent execution of the VM strategy and merchant plan across all mrp Sport stores.

Qualifications:What You'll Bring

• A degree in Interior Design, Visual Merchandising, or Fashion.
• 5+ years of experience in store design and visual merchandising.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, store design, marketing, and procurement-especially within the Mr Price Sport environment.
• A creative mindset with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for retail innovation.
