Job Tile: Packer (Steel)

Location: Germiston, Gauteng

Salary: Market-Related

Duties:

• Maintain precise records of incoming and outgoing steel materials and components, including raw materials, finished products, and supplies.
• Monitor stock levels to ensure adequate supply for production and customer orders.
• Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and address any discrepancies.
• Collaborate with purchasing teams to reorder materials and supplies as needed.
• Receive incoming shipments of steel materials, inspecting and verifying quantities and quality.
• Organize storage areas for efficient and safe storage of steel materials and products.
• Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and consumption patterns for analysis.
• Work closely with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow and timely deliveries.
• Adhere to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

• Previous experience in inventory management or stock control, preferably in steel fabrication.
• Knowledge of steel materials, components, and fabrication processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Forklift operation and materials handling experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and overtime as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in inventory management or logistics preferred.
