Village N Life is looking for a stock controller and is offering you the chance to be a vital part of our gastronomic journey as a Stock Controller. At Village N Life, we don't just manage inventory; we orchestrate culinary masterpieces. As a Stock Controller, you will be at the epicentre of our culinary symphony, ensuring that every ingredient, every nuance, and every detail aligns seamlessly to create an unforgettable dining experience. As a Stock Controller, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the heartbeat of our kitchen, ensuring that the freshest, finest ingredients are at the fingertips of our culinary maestros.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Accommodation certificate/hotel school diploma (advantageous)
• Experience in Ideal Stock Control System (essential)
• Previous experience in a 4/5-star hotel
• Familiarity with restaurant duties and procedures
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and email)
• Knowledge of wines
• Stock control experience
• Physically capable of lifting heavy objects

Main Requirements of the Position:

• Maintain close relationships with food and beverage suppliers for optimal quality and pricing.
• Managing food and beverage stores, with correct storing techniques and temperatures
• Issue of stock to various departments and properties
• Stock management on Ideal Stock system
• Ensure the secure receipt of all incoming food and beverage products.
• Verify the necessity of all beverage items.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and products in the food and beverage industry
• Uphold food and beverage stocks within company objectives.
• Oversee the proper functioning of mechanical storage equipment.
• Monitor and record temperatures in cold holding equipment.
• Ensure safe storage and issuance of cleaning materials per company regulations.
• Manage departmental invoices and transfer journal documentation.
• Generate accurate daily variance reports.
• Implement ideal stock control management.
• Manage Micros point of sale SLU and reporting.
