Job Description

JOB PURPOSE



The purpose of the Stock Control is to oversee and ensure the precision of our inventory management system. This role is pivotal in maintaining accurate stock levels, providing real-time, actionable reports to both internal and external stakeholders, and supporting our stock control team in accordance with the company's policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating proficiency in inventory management software, clerical skill, and team collaboration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



INVENTORY OVERSIGHT (45%)



Accurately record all stock deliveries into the asset register.

Manage the issuing and receipt of stock, ensuring compliance with established processes.

Conduct and oversee bi-annual and spot checks of inventory to verify the asset register reflects current stock movements.

Coordinate with Storeman to complete monthly stock takes, addressing and resolving any discrepancies promptly.

Monitor consumable levels to maintain adequate stock, adjusting inventory as needed based on analysis and forward planning.

PROJECT INVENTORY MANAGEMENT (20%)



Track and record all project-related stock from receipt through to distribution, ensuring accurate checklist completion and system updates.

Oversee monthly physical counts of project stock, investigating any variances.

Participate in weekly project meetings, assigning tasks to team members as needed.

REPORTING AND ANALYSIS (15%)



Accurately complete daily reports for submission to the AM Supervisor.

Complete and submit data on monthly boot stock takes, ensuring accuracy for submission to the AM supervisor.

Maintain up-to-date records of stock movements, consumable reconciliations, and bakkie check trends, ensuring all reports are timely and accurate.

COMPLIANCE AND SAFETY (10%)



Stay informed on and comply with all company policies, procedures, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.

Encourage a culture of safety and compliance within the team, addressing any concerns or violations promptly.

Ensure warehouse is kept neat and tidy.

Ensure received stock is store under appropriate conditions in line with the AM policy.

Ensure the correct PPE is wore in the warehouse and correct usage of trollies and ladders.

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES (5%)



Be aware of Stowe Policies and Procedures and adhere to required policies and Procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS



Stock Control Certification/Warehousing Certification Diploma/Degree Logistics, Supply Chain

2-3 years' experience

Proficiency in using inventory management software for tracking and reporting.

Valid South African ID

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: R10000,00 - R12000,00 per month
