Stock Control Manager (FMCG / Retail Warehouse)
A well-established FMCG retail business is seeking a Stock Control Manager to oversee inventory accuracy, stock replenishment, and supplier coordination within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Location: Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha)
Position: Permanent | On-Site
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile all stock movements (receipts, transfers, returns, dispatch).
- Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts; investigate and resolve variances.
- Monitor stock levels, analyse sales trends, and forecast demand to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Generate purchase orders and liaise with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Track waste, slow-moving, and obsolete stock; implement corrective actions.
- Ensure FIFO principles and compliance with food safety and expiry standards.
- Prepare inventory reports (stock valuation, turnover, variances).
- Maintain ERP/WMS system accuracy (SIGMA or similar).
- Grade 12 with relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration.
- 2-5 years' stock control experience within FMCG, wholesale, or retail warehouse environments.
- Strong ERP/WMS experience (SIGMA or similar).
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
- Solid understanding of stock takes, cycle counting, and audit processes.
