Key performance areas:
Identify and map stakeholders relevant to Climate Change and Health project objectives
Conduct thorough analysis to understand stakeholder interests, concerns, and influence
Develop and maintain positive relationships with various stakeholders, including community members, participants, and regulatory bodies
Establish, plan, organize, attend, and facilitate meetings with the Community Advisory Board (CAB) and relevant stakeholders
Analyse feedback to identify trends, concerns, and areas for improvement
Organize and participate in stakeholder meetings, workshops, focus groups, and other events to gather input and provide updates
Monitor the ongoing activities of the CAB
Facilitate open lines of communication and address concerns promptly
Design mechanisms to collect feedback from stakeholders about the projectxe2x80x99s activities and service provision
Supervise and coordinate activities of the community health workers
Amend study recruitment and retention SOP
Train community health workers on recruitment and retention SOP when needed
Organise community events
Maintain accurate records of stakeholder interactions, feedback, and engagement activities
Prepare regular reports on stakeholder engagement efforts and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders
Prepare meeting agendas and circulate minutes timeously
Compile reports to the Research Team, management, and donors as and when required
Compile and circulate the Weekly Plan
Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports as needed
Perform duties per study Delegation of Authority Logs
Take ownership and accountability for tasks and demonstrate effective self-management
Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurately maintained
Maintain a positive attitude and respond openly to feedback
Take ownership of driving your own career development by participating in ongoing training and development activities such as forums, conferences, policy-setting workshops, etc.
Required minimum education and training:
Diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field
Fluent in English and other African languages, specifically IsiZulu/Sotho
Required minimum work experience:
Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, community health development, research and programs implementation, or a related role
Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities:
Bachelorxe2x80x99s in Communications, Public Relations, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field
Certification in Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
Experience in a research environment
Experience in the voluntary sector
Good communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to network with various stakeholders
Able to work independently and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Be tactful, respectful and maintain confidentiality
Be sensitive to diversity and open to change
Valid driverxe2x80x99s license
