Design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), delivering clear, accurate, and timely business insights. Develop and maintain ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), including data ingestion, transformation, cleansing, and loading into data warehouses or operational databases. Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, joins, subqueries, and other database objects to implement business logic and support reporting requirements. Optimize database performance: fine-tune SQL queries, manage indexes, optimize stored procedures, and improve report and data load runtimes. Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements -- translate business needs into technical specifications for reports/ETL workflows. Support ad hoc data requests and reporting queries from stakeholders and resolve reporting issues or data discrepancies. Maintain documentation for report logic, data models, ETL flows, data sources, and BI environment best practices and standards. Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across reporting and BI solutions, adhering to governance and compliance standards. When required, support or participate in data warehouse development, dimensional modeling (star/snowflake schemas), and data architecture activities. Collaborate with other IT teams (DBAs, data engineers, business analysts, vendors/outsourced teams) to deliver cohesive BI solutions and support system stability.

Qualifications & Experience Required

Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field -- or equivalent experience. Extensive experience (e.g. 5-8+ years) working with SQL Server (2008, 2012, 2014, or newer), including T-SQL development, database design, and optimization. Strong expertise in SSRS and SSIS (report development + ETL pipelines). Experience developing reporting solutions and BI deliverables (reports, dashboards, data models, ETL packages). Solid understanding of database structures, relational databases, data modeling (relational + dimensional), and BI/data-warehouse concepts. * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to translate business needs into technical deliverables and to collaborate with business stakeholder
