The main purpose of the position is to provide application support to internal and external customers and resolve technical issues.

Proficient in both written and verbal communication Strong verbal communication skills Capable of performing effectively under pressure Minimum 2 years SQL working experience and knowledge Skilled in SQL, particularly PostgreSQL, primarily for executing "selects" for troubleshooting and reports. Familiarity with Procedural SQL (PL/SQL) is advantageous. Basic command line proficiency in Linux is a plus. Prior experience working in an international context is advantageous Familiarity with Excel (basic proficiency), with an advanced skill set as a bonus. Experience in the telematics field is a valuable asset. Familiarity with any ticketing system is a beneficial skill. Provide second-line support for complex technical issues escalated from Tier 1 Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve SQL database issues, application errors, and system malfunctions. Create and optimize SQL queries, including troubleshooting complex SQL scripts and reports. Experience with vehicle camera devices would be advantageous

Minimum requirements

National Senior Certificate/ Grade 12. IT qualification will be an advantage. Prioritise and manage multiple tasks and adapt to challenging situations. MS Office Package (Excel - Intermediate). Experience with Python or other automation tools to improve system efficiency. Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus. Knowledge of network configurations, firewalls, and VPN setups. Experience in system administration or network troubleshooting. Working knowledge of IT infrastructure environment, Linux and SQL. Excellent communication skills, being able to convey complex and difficult issues both verbally and in writing to customers with varying levels of technical expertise.
