Sql Database Administrator
Job Description
Our client is based in Midrand and Brits, any region that would be suitable for the candidate.
They are currently seeking the services of a SQL Database Administrator to join their team.
OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB:
As a Microsoft SQL Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Microsoft SQL Server databases for the company. One of your goals will be to ensure the performance, availability, and security of the SQL databases. You will work closely with the infrastructure teams to design, implement, and optimize database solutions that meet the organization's needs. Additionally, you will monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve any database-related issues to ensure smooth operations.
FORMAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Matric
- MCSDBA (old school SQL or equivalent)
- Diploma Data metrix or equivalent
- A thorough knowledge of the operation of all applications and systems is of utmost importance to maintain this integration integrity and problem solving.
- Strong people skills
- Strong telephonic skills
- Methodical and strong administration skills
- Ability to deal with senior levels of client personnel
- Strong client service skills including the ability to deal with all levels of computer literacy
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Good listening skills
- Good problem solving skills
- Driver's License Code: B / EB
- Own Transport
