YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of conveyor belt splicing operations, ensuring that work is executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with mining standards and client specifications. This includes supervising splicing teams on-site (covering hot mostly and cold splicing, mechanical splicing, and vulcanizing), coordinating daily activities, and ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest quality standards.

ABOUT YOU:

To be considered for this position as the ideal applicant, you must be from/
willing to reside in or around Middelburg, Hendrina, or surrounding farm communities.

MINIMUM CRITERIA:

Trade certificate/Diploma in fitting & turning or Mechanical engineering. Accredited conveyor belt splicing certificate (Hot, Cold, and Mechanical). Minimum of 5-8 years in conveyor belt hot splicing with at least 2-5 years in a supervisory or team lead role.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Strong understanding of different types of conveyor belts. Familiarity with vulcanizing presses, belt alignment tools, and mechanical fasteners. Knowledge of mine health and safety guidelines, iso, safety, and qa/qc standards. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team with leadership and communication skills.
