Speech Language Pathologist, Secunda, Mpumalanga
Our client, based in Secunda, Mpumalanga is looking for a speech language pathologist to assist at multiple sites (offices, hospitals and schools) with the diagnosing and treating of speech, language, communication and swallowing disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluating the speech abilities of children and adults through administering diagnostic tests
- Evaluating feeding and swallowing disorders of newborns, children and adults
- Providing intervention to people with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, dyslexia, dysphagia, stuttering, speech sound disorders, Aphasia, Apraxia, Dysarthria, language disorders and early intervention
- Development and implementation of effective rehabilitative programs for patients with speech, language and cognitive difficulties
- Provide the service at the practice, private hospitals, schools and offices
- Batchelor in Speech Language and Audiology
- Active member of the HPCSA
- At least 2 years experience in this field of specialty
- Computer Literate (Microsoft office suite)
- Bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
- Passionate, loyal, hardworking

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse clients and their families
- Excellent communication and counselling skills
- Empathetic nature
