Job Description
Specialty Trade Sales Representative Purpose
Win and grow specialty accounts through consultative selling (education, sampling when promo's, and tailored assortments) to drive repeat and premium mix. Create buzz and trial for lifestyle-fit SKUs via activations, sampling and partnerships with owners, converting word-ofmouth into repeat sell-out. Reports to / Travel
Reports to: Brand Manager or Area Sales Manager
Targeting pharmacies, gyms, sports clubs, health & Beauty, cafes, restaurants, speciality retail and wholesale. Events and venues; includes some evenings/weekends. Key Outcomes / KPIsCall rate compliance and strike rate
New account opens and repeat rateOutlet penetration and weekly order frequency
Promotion execution and OOS reductionBasket/value per outlet
Activation and sampling conversionCustomer universe activity and growth Core Responsibilities
Identify lifestyle venues; negotiate presence and set up activationsTrain venue staff; ensure visibility and correct price marks
Capture sell-out during/after events; report ROIShare grassroots insights with Trade/Brand team
Tailor SKU mix per outlet and ensure visibilityBuild advocacy with managers and owners; secure re-orders
Maintain CRM records and track competitor moves RequirementsMatric minimum; Diploma/Degree in Nutrition/Commerce/Marketing advantageous
2-4 yrs FMCG specialty sales experience Competencies & ToolsConsultative selling and objection handling
Strong presentation and training skillsEvent operations and sampling management
Social media and content captureCRM and Excel for post-event ROI
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From R5500,00 per month
Work Location: On the road
