To provide subject matter expertise and specialist knowledge in the implementation of a Technology Service Resilience framework, standards, practices, and processes for Group Technology or Business Unit and/or all countries. To embed IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) to ensure that IT services can continue to operate or be quickly restored in the event of a disruption or disaster. Guide and influence teams on the appropriate standards, practices and processors.



Qualifications

A Degree in Business Commerce or Risk Management.



Experience Required:



3-4 years experience or understanding of banking sector and regulatory requirements. Understanding and knowledge of risk management with the risk identification, tracking and remediation across the lines of defence.

5-7 years experience and exposure to the delivery of the IT Service Continuity lifecycle (i.e. impact analysis, recovery strategy formulation, plan development, testing and exercising and governance and awareness related activities), engaging multiple stakeholders across the bank to fulfil value-chain and business line requirements for the IT Service Continuity programme.

Reasonable depth of exposure/understanding of Business Continuity Management processes and best practices.

Exceptional ability to remain calm under stress.

Excellent team skills, both as a leader and as a team player.

Excellent communication skills, especially related to facilitation, documentation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:



Drive the implementation of a Technology Service Resilience framework, standards, practices, and processes for Group Technology to enhance the ability of IT systems and services to withstand and recover from disruptions, ensuring continuous operation and minimal impact on business processes Conduct Technology Service Resilience exercises designed to ensure that Group Technology and crisis teams are regularly tested in accordance to their criticality, capabilities and risk profile.

Drive operational resilience requirements through technology processes to ensure ongoing availability of IT services, aligning with Business Continuity Management (BCM) to maintain business operations.

Perform and execute various Service Resilience processes and activities to promote and sustain emergency preparedness awareness and culture within Group Technology and across all countries. Provide specialist knowledge and subject matter expertise to enable business continuity and crisis management plans.

Stay abreast of the latest developments in the environment, attend conferences and industry forums and monitor internal and external environments for potential disruptive incidents. Engage with various stakeholders within Group Technology and across all Africa Regions countries to discuss potential scenario's and plan for responses. Provide subject matter expertise to Group Technology and all Africa Regions countries to develop a Technology Service Resilience strategy to ensure work activities can continue operating during and after a disruptive event, encompassing planning, preparedness, and recovery efforts.

Challenge business leaders within Group Technology and across all the various countries and jurisdictions on the identification of critical functions and needs in order to maintain a state of informed preparedness.

Develop, coordinate, and deliver regular training and awareness programs to strengthen Group Technology's preparedness and response capabilities, while also improving processes and adaptability to effectively manage crises and emerge stronger.
