As global thought leaders, Discovery is passionate about innovating in order to not only achieve financial success, but to ignite positive and meaningful change within our society.Job PurposeThe Organisational Design & Transformation Specialist creates the best organisational design for efficiency to stimulate business growth, team effectiveness, a healthy culture and drives transformation objectives that are aligned to Discovery's Purpose, Vision, and Strategy.This is a thought leader in organisational job analysis and evaluation. The role holder is expected to influence the job architecture strategy, see its implementation through and lead related change management. It supports business by formulating plans to enhance operational efficiencies by analysing data, thereby being a strategic advisor on business processes redesign or business re-structure.The role holder is an SME on Transformation, overseeing the B-BBEE verification processes by engaging internal and external stakeholders to successfully achieve desired BEE level for Discovery Limited and its subsidiaries. In addition, this role is expected to support and deliver on the organisation's Employment Equity Act mandate thereby overseeing the running of Employment Equity Forums within the Group, ensuring all regulatory & compliance requirements are upheld and can be submitted as credible evidence to internal auditors and the Department of Employment and Labour.Key Outcomes may include but are not limited to: * Data Analysis & Diagnostics

  • Utilises adequate analytical skills to derive meaningful findings within data sourced from existing repositories or new data channels.
  • Draws insights and designs interventions or strategies related to areas of expertise.
  • Conducts specific research assignments and diagnostics as per business need.
  • Contributes to research on progressive people practices impacting the industry and disseminates these where appropriate within the business.
  • Org Design & Job Architecture
  • Guides business in Job profiling practice and influences the Job Architecture framework and related processes.
  • Is an expert in Job analysis and grading, and thereby does job evaluations for the business.
  • Supports structural org design processes where necessary, through input in value-chain analysis, and journey mapping design session.
  • Will be expected to document outcomes of design and focus group sessions.
  • Continuously ensures that the Job architecture design standards are upheld, kept up to date and effectively communicated to business stakeholders.
  • Manages the OD service query pool or group by ensuring all logged queries are attended to within SLA.
  • Is responsible for resource planning for the management of the service query pool.
  • Transformation Design & Execution
B-BBEE
  • Understands and communicates the organisational strategy and ambitions towards BEE.
  • Drives all tactical and strategic actions necessary to ensure the attainment of Discovery Limited's scorecard level ambitions and thereby engages with all business stakeholders who are key contributors to the scorecard.
  • Monitors other business area's BEE scorecard management and execution processes as a risk mitigation for Discovery Limited scorecard level.
  • Oversees all interim and final verification process tasks and is the key liaison with the external verification agency.
  • Formulates the verification process plan in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and ensures timelines are met for relevant initiatives.
  • Owns the Management Control pillar within the BEE scorecard and must ensure correct and precise data reporting on it, and correct correlation to the Skills Development data set.
  • Engages internal stakeholders at all levels on verification interview requirements, facilitates all logistical requirements for such and accordingly monitors the process to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Liaises with the verification agency during the verification process on all verification queries and engages the internal stakeholders for timeous resolution of queries.
  • Must ensure that all scorecards are issued in time and accordingly published and sent to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Is responsible for continuous improvement of the verification processes and facilitates post implementation review sessions for the streamlining of the process.
  • Drives engagement with BEE SMEs or advisors for improvement of area's BEE strategies.
  • Manages the update and review process of the Group Transformation Policy.
  • Ensures all internal and external compliance requirements in relation to the verification process are upheld.
Employment Equity
  • Owns the Employment Equity Consultation Forum governance processes prescribed in the Employment Equity Act or EECF Terms of Reference.
  • Manages the annual EECF training schedule.
  • Ensures all ECCFs related artefacts (Member list, Meeting minutes and agendas) are kept up to date in a central repository.
  • Manages EECF training charge backs.
  • Reporting
  • Supports the annual Department of Employment Labour (DoEL) reporting process.
  • Publishes all EEA annual reports on the internal Transformation site.
  • Produces the BEE Social and Ethics Committee cycle reports.

  • A minimum of 5yrs BEE scorecard management exposure in a financial services industry.
