  • Support the development and implementation of a guideline for the Precision Maintenance at the shopfloor level while partnering with businesses.
  • Implement Lean practices related to maintenance efficiency and effectiveness improvements to ensure standardisation and reliability is met.
  • Ensure maintenance execution processes including shift handovers are efficient.
  • Perform on site diagnosis of work execution , generation of plans to improve and coaching and mentoring on the shop floor as required to ensure sustainable improvement.
  • Support the implementation of systems and process to maximise tool time and provide feedback and improvements.
  • Ensure feedback to planning is accurate, including ensuring process to improve work identification.
  • Drive the use of WEP.
  • Develop, edit and review detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures for precision maintenance tasks.
  • Support the implantation of a rigorous planning process to ensure precise execution of maintenance activities.
  • Implement specialised training and certification programs for maintenance personnel to enhance their skills and precision techniques.
  • Define precision measurement tools and technologies to ensure accurate adjustments and alignments during maintenance.
  • Partner with equipment manufacturers and suppliers to access specialised precision maintenance expertise and resources with Principal.
  • Support the timely review of precision maintenance procedures based on industry best practices and emerging technologies and provide recommendations and input into continuous improvement.
Qualifications

An undergraduate qualification (Bachelors / Honours degree or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline.

Technical Knowledge:
  • Expert in precision maintenance fundamentals.
  • Up to date knowledge in global precision maintenance trends and technology/tools.
  • Precision maintenance and Lean principles background.
  • Experience implementing precision maintenance practices and tools within large, complex operational environments.
  • Solve technical and operational issues in cooperation with relevant stakeholders, implementing the most effective solutions to drive efficiencies.
  • Optimise productivity and quality targets through utilising Engineering knowledge, root cause analysis and data analytics.
  • Expertise in the development of global Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Prior experience, coaching, developing and building capability in Execution & Precision Maintenance.
  • Supplier Management experience.
  • Exposure to process design and implementation.
