Core Description

Responsible for preparing and analysing consolidated monthly, interim and annual financial statements. The individual will ensure that the financial results of subsidiaries are properly reported in terms of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The position coordinates with subsidiaries, Business Units, Internal and External Auditors. Hyperion and SAP experience is a pre-requisite.

Required Certification

Registration with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) is required.
Qualifications

Relevent 4 year Honours Financianl Accounting/Applied Science degree at least (NQF 8) and being registered as a Chartered Accountant (CA SA).
Experience

3+ years post-article experience, 2 of which must be in a statutory reporting role. Knowledge in preparing consolidated financial statements. Expertise in IFRS, especially in the application and accounting consolidations, cash flows, acquisitions, disposals, and equity accounting. Hyperion, and SAP experience.
Special Requirements

Work under pressure
Valid Driver's licence
Security clearance-integrity assessment
SAP and Hyperion experience
Knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting
