Job Description


Role purpose:

Monitoring of the Transport network, troubleshooting and co-ordinating resolution of fault with the support areas. Provide guidance and support to the Transport L1 team, perform root cause analysis and respond to client queries. Identify and implement automation use cases

Your responsibilities will include:

Monitor the Transport network, perform troubleshooting , log and assign incidents to the support teams as per incident management process
To liaise with internal and external support teams toward fault resolution in order to meet SLAs & OLAs
Provide guidance and support to the Transport L1 team
Perform root cause analysis and compile incident reports
Keep up to date with network changes and evolving network architecture and continually evaluate and improve existing processes and systems including identifying and implementing of automation / correlation use cases

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

Technical / Professional Qualifications:

Matric essential
Degree/3 Year National Diploma (S4)/within the Electrical Engineering /Information Technology /Computer Science/ Software Engineering is essential

Experience
At least 4 years work experience within Telecommunications or IT - essential.
At least 3 years' experience working in the NOC or environment dealing with Incident Management and problem Management
At least 3 years working in the Transmission / IP Networks environment
