Job Summary To provide advice and support in the development and implementation of building services planning and associated service delivery processes, methods and techniques; enabling the efficient execution of services, complying with policy requirements.



Leadership :

Part of the regional leadership team and influencer in the development and implementation of the facilities management strategic plan.

Accountability for ensuring alignment of facilities management services vision and strategy.

Plays a strong collaborative role in working across the ABSA Corp real estate (CRES) functions.

Responsible for commercial and financial management in the region.

Motivate and inspire the indirect teams within the ABSA CRES organization.

Identify, design and drive change initiatives across the region. Demonstrate self-awareness and integrity when providing leadership to the organisation.

Play a collaborative and value creating role across the whole business.

Demonstrates empathetic listening when communicating with people.

Effectively manages diverse relationships inside and outside ABSA.

An ambassador for ABSA CRES and the ABSA business.

Management & decision making:

Lead a team of facilities management professionals with overall responsibility for the provision of hard and soft services to the SA portfolio .

Manages the outsourced suppliers in the delivery of facilities management services to the SA portfolio within their region. Responsible for supplier relationship management with regard to service standards for all corporate and retail facilities management in the portfolio.

This is to be achieved via regular and continuous engagement with suppliers xe2x80x93 via meetings, emails and regular site visits to buildings where services are offered.

Directxe2x81x84oversee all activities within the facilities management sub function of ABSA CRES.

Effectively position all business cases via the relevant procurement boards to support programmes of change.

Ensure that operational control and delivery of facilities management services in support of ABSA business operations is of the highest appropriate standard.

Operate buildings and services at minimum risk to the bank's business operations.

Responsible for the management and monitoring of vendor performance through specific and targeted reporting.

Deal with issuesxe2x81x84opportunities in a proactive and timely manner. Own your layer and drive empowerment through the outsourced model.

Ensure that all ABSA CRES services are define and provided to the most appropriate standards required by the bank.

People management and client engagement:

Establish and lead an environment in which all people can develop and apply their talents.

Take responsibility for influencing and setting objectives and performance targets for the indirect teams.

Work with outsourced vendor partners to constantly challenge and fine tune the delivery of an appropriate target operating model for the region.

Manage, coach and mentor indirect reports and others in the organization.

Lead by exhibiting exemplary behaviors at all times.

Deliver performance summaries as required.

Responsible for customer satisfaction measures and the ongoing development of tools to enable CRES to understand that our service delivery represents the right service at the right price.

Via formal and informal methods monitor internal customer satisfaction, facilitate reviews, and change decision making processes and the planning and implementation of change.

Strategy leadership:

Collaborate with the business and South African head of facilities management to formulate the facilities management services strategy that leverages the transactional and analytical skills of a world-class service organisation required to support the business.

Develop and articulate the vision that underpins all strategic activities within your function.

Communicate the relevant segments of the facilities management services strategy across the workforce, to enable all people to be aware of how they are contributing to the overall business strategy.

Ensure overall alignment of strategies with business strategies and priorities between the stakeholder businesses.

To devise and implement the appropriate supplier strategies in accordance with the required excellence in service standards.

Risk management:

Working with the risk management team, ensure focus upon statutory compliance across all service functions. Identifies, appropriately escalates, reports, controls and remediates risk events for this area.

Supports and drives the group sustainability targets.

Works with and supports all activities around disability awareness.

Actively contributes to group citizenship agenda

Education

Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Physical Planning and Construction (Required)
