The Role

This is a position for someone who has mechanical knowledge of boats and outboard motors, and is keen to learn more in a professional capacity with regard to stock control, assisting clients and support in the workshop as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Dealing with clients' requirements in a warm and friendly manner. Assisting in the workshop as required. Ordering stock. Assisting with office admin where necessary. Assisting with lifting and carrying heavy spares, etc. Ensuring that the retail front office is kept as neat as possible.

Skills and Experience

REQUIREMENTS:

Highly motivated and energetic. Matriculation or Senior Certificate. Driver's licence. Computer literacy in MS Excel, MS Word and emails. Well-spoken in both English and Afrikaans, and outgoing to assist walk in customers. Boating knowledge or knowledge of car parts - i.e. mechanical skills. Understanding of outboard motors - motor spares an advantage. Interest in any water sport or boating experience an advantage. Some relative sales experience will also be a plus. Be a team player who is prepared to go the extra mile. Enthusiastic, strong junior who is prepared to work their way up and expand their knowledge. Must be prepared to work Saturday shifts. No leave during holiday season.

As this is a junior position applicants should already reside in the Knysna area.
