KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Sales & GP Growth
Develop and maintain strong relationships with
SPAR butchery managers
to drive repeat business.
Achieve
monthly and quarterly sales targets
for butchery supplies, spices, and equipment.
Identify
new business opportunities
within the SPAR butchery network.
Promote new products and seasonal promotions to maximize sales.
2. Client Relationship Management
Conduct
regular visits to SPAR Store butcheries
to assess stock levels, identify needs, and provide solutions.
Work closely with the Butchery Category Manager - Fresh - South Rand Division.
Provide
product training and demonstrations
to butchery staff on the use of Exim products.
Offer technical support for
butchery machinery and equipment
supplied by Exim.
Address
customer complaints and issues
promptly to maintain strong client satisfaction.
3. Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis
Monitor competitor products, pricing, and promotions to
stay ahead in the market
.
Collect feedback from butchery managers on product performance and demand trends.
Report on
sales performance, challenges, and opportunities
to the Regional Sales Manager.
4. Operational & Administrative Duties
Ensure accurate order placement,
stock replenishment
, and timely deliveries.
Work closely with the logistics team to ensure smooth distribution of goods.
Maintain accurate records of
sales visits, orders, and client interactions through CRM (Skynamo)
.
Adhere to company pricing structures and discount policies.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
:
Minimum:
Matric (Grade 12) required. A
diploma in Sales, Business, or Marketing
is an advantage.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in
butchery sales, FMCG, or foodservice sales
.
Strong understanding of
SPAR's butchery operations
,
systems
and
procurement processes
.
Skills & Competencies:
Sales & Relationship Building:
Ability to engage with SPAR butchery managers and secure long-term partnerships.
Product Knowledge:
Strong understanding of
butchery packaging, casings, machinery, requisites, and ingredients
.
Communication & Negotiation:
Ability to
upsell and cross-sell
products effectively.
Self-Motivated & Target-Driven:
Ability to work independently while meeting sales targets.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to resolve customer concerns efficiently.
Technical Aptitude:
Basic understanding of butchery machinery and equipment functionality.
Driver's License:
A
valid driver's license
and willingness to travel extensively.
