This CONTEMPORARY STYLED Private Villa and 60-seater restaurant set on a boutique wine estate in Paarl offers modern cuisine matched with signature wines. With a choice of either 3 or 7 courses paired with wines, the food style has a distinct overseas / international flair with intricate plating components, beautifully styled and eclectic flavours of Europe, the far East fused with South African ingredients.
ProStaffSelect are in search of a highly passionate and super-skilled JUNIOR SOUS CHEF to support in developing a strong team in this creative world of culinary arts. Our head chef has settled permanently in the area and presents this extraordinary gourmet experience for local visitors and in-house Villa guests.
REQUIREMENTS
Recognised 1 or 2 years FULL-TIME Cheffing Qualification.
Minimum 3 years' experience within a strict fine dining team at a similar Sous chef level.
Ability to engineer and create daily changing dishes.
Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
Must be PASSIONATE about food, know your basics, display a positive attitude and truly excited about your cheffing career and goals.
Demonstrate strengths in food costing, stock controls and waste management
Efficient in computer skills as well as a working knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems
Experience in managing staff, handling HR issues, disciplinaries etc
