Role Description



This is a contract on-site role for a Sous Chef at Nederburg Wines, located in Paarl. The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, inventory monitoring, food cost, stock control, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and maintenance. The Sous Chef will also oversee kitchen staff, ensure food quality and presentation, and collaborate on creating dishes that complement Nederburg's wines.

Qualifications



Culinary skills, including food preparation, cooking, and plating Experience in menu planning and inventory management Leadership skills for supervising kitchen staff and ensuring teamwork Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards Excellent time management and organizational skills Strong attention to detail and creativity in dish presentation Previous experience in a similar role Computor literate Culinary degree or relevant certification Matric certificate Own transport or located close by
Ability to commute/relocate:

Nederburg, Western Cape 7645: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Education:

High School (matric) (Required) Culinary certificate (Required)
Experience:

Pay: R3000,00 - R5000,00 per week
