Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join a luxury lodge in the Kalahari Reserve. This is a hands-on role for someone with a passion for high-end cuisine, team leadership, and operational excellence in a fast-paced, 5-star kitchen environment.

? What you'll be doing:

Mentor, train, and lead the kitchen team to deliver exceptional culinary standards
/p
p
Streamline kitchen operations, including stock control, preparation, presentation, and waste reduction

p
Plan and implement seasonal menus that reflect the lodge's culinary philosophy
/p
p
Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety
/p
p
Oversee kitchen administration, monitor costs, and implement effective controls
/p
p
Ensure dietary and religious requirements are met while keeping innovation and presentation at the forefront
/p
p
? What you'll need:

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Sous Chef in a 5-star establishment
/p

Professional cooking and food hygiene qualifications

Strong multitasking and leadership skills in a high-pressure environment

Knowledge of current food trends and menu development
/p

Competence in stock management, budgeting, and kitchen administration
