We are currently seeking an experienced SOUS CHEF to join the culinary team of this award-winning 5-star Hotel in Graaff-Reinet, nestled in the heart of the Karoo. This is an exciting opportunity to be art of a dynamic team, shape the culinary identity of the celebrated establishment, and contribute to unforgettable guest experiences in the truly unique and historic setting
As the ideal candidate you will have:
- Certificate or diploma in culinary arts from a recognized institution.
- Previous experience from 4- or 5-star upmarket restaurant/hotel environment
- experience in a fast-paced environment, juggling busy weddings, conferences, and meetings while crafting exceptional breakfast, lunch, and dinner experiences
- Passion for quality, creativity, and innovation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and allergies.
- Proficiency in food costing and inventory management.
- Commitment to sustainable practices and sourcing.
- R15 000, salary is negotiable depending on experience and skills
- This is a live out position
