We are looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to lead our kitchen and elevate our dining experience. Must have experience working specifically with Asian traditional cuisine with a French Fusion twist!!
Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and high-quality output.
- Develop and execute authentic Asian dishes while incorporating creative, modern elements.
- Lead, mentor, and train kitchen staff to maintain consistency and excellence.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships to maintain optimal food costs.
- Innovate and adjust menus seasonally, balancing tradition with contemporary trends.
- Work closely with the FOH team to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Requirements:
xe2x9cx85 Minimum 4 years as a Chef, in a high-end Asian fusion restaurant.
xe2x9cx85 Strong knowledge of Asian cuisine, techniques, and traditional flavours.
xe2x9cx85 Experience in menu development and cost control.
xe2x9cx85 Leadership and team-building skills with a hands-on approach.
xe2x9cx85 Ability to maintain high-pressure kitchen operations.
xe2x9cx85 Strong organisational and time-management skills.
xe2x9cx85 Familiarity with South African food regulations and supplier networks is an advantage
