DescriptionPurpose of the jobImplement the Sourcing strategy within the framework of the Business Group strategy, aligning this to Pepxe2x80x99s value position while driving fashion / market trends and newness. Builds relationships with suppliers, through negotiating cost and developing agreements to deliver products that exceed customer expectations of quality and value.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the process to deliver to the business supplier sourcing strategyMaximise added value and cost savings and deliver to the consolidation strategyEngage and further develop the supplier base to deliver to the sourcing and business strategyBuild strong relationships with internal and external key stakeholders to meet required standards.To execute all administration relating to the procurement process to ensure on-time delivery as per the critical path dates/deadlines.To effectively communicate and follow-up internallyTo communicate and follow-up effectively with all relevant external role players/key relationshipsTo continuously update all systems with the required information and provide end to end visibilityManaging strict deadlines, from orders placed to deliveryAssist with ad hoc projects as assigned by LeaderRequirementsRequirementsRelevant Degree or Diploma (e.g. Clothing Production Management)Computer Literacy (MS Office and Google Suite)Fabric and garment construction understanding.Understand key sourcing inputs/resources (including raw materials) in supplier negotiationAble to analyse and interpret data and make recommendationsKnowledge of compliance and legislation applicable to the manufacturing environmentMust be willing to travelCode 8 driverxe2x80x99s licence requiredPosition is Cape Town basedMinimum 3-5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience:o Clothing background (manufacturing)o Local and Imports exposure in a retail or manufacturing environmento Clear understanding of the buying cycleo Exposure to Factory production would be idealo Experience in working with onshore and offshore suppliersCompetencies required: Accuracy, Negotiating, Performing under Pressure, Creating Support, Flexibility, Initiative, Integrity, Analysing and forming opinionsWork LevelMid-LevelTypePermanentSalaryMarket RelatedEE PositionYesLocationWestern Cape
