SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking an experienced and strategic Solution Architect for an exciting 12-month renewable contract opportunity. As part of the architecture team, you'll provide expert consulting across a range of new initiatives, projects, and programs--including those in the early Demand Management phase. POSITION INFO:
Requirements

• A tertiary qualification (NQF 6), degree (NQF 7), or Honours degree (NQF 8) in the field of specialisation or equivalent industry-specific certifications
• Minimum of five years' experience in application analysis/architecture, design, enterprise architecture, or solutions architecture
• A postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage
• A formal architecture certification (e.g., TOGAF, BIZBOK) will be an added advantage

• Develop the solution architectures for various projects within the division and guide the end-to-end delivery of solutions
• Document/model the architecture in ADOIT using ArchiMate notation
• Combine architectural "as-is" and "to-be" models for various domains (business, data, application, and technology) to create an overall solution architecture and roadmap, with supporting transition architectures
• Ensure alignment between the enterprise architecture, related solution architectures, architectural principles, and ICT standards to support standardisation and risk reduction
• Ensure that solutions meet business requirements while complying with standards, principles, traceability to enterprise reference models, and alignment with the target enterprise architecture vision
• Ensure proposed solutions are peer-reviewed by the division and presented to the Enterprise Architecture Governance forums for approval
• Take accountability for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of solutions and ensuring that implementations align with architectural designs (implementation governance)
• Develop evaluation criteria to assist cross-functional teams in product identification and selection processes, including Proofs of Concept (POCs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
