Job Description

Technical understanding and expertise across multiple platforms, infrastructure and hybrid cloud systems is required to develop designs, solutions, architectures and documentation as input to the sales process for customers from start to the conclusion of a sales deal.

Experience

• 10+ years of relevant experience within the IT industry.
• 5+ years experience in architecting supporting technologies.
• Proposal writing experience.
• Business development /sales knowledge.
• Experience in capacity planning and analysis of the current landscape of storage workloads
• Extensive track record implementing and managing large complex enterprise storage solutions desirable.
• Extensive track record in designing and deploying large complex enterprise storage and backup solutions desirable.
• Experience in designing storage technology and integrating various cloud storage options is desirable.
• Experience in designing backup infrastructure and supplementing with cloud storage is desirable.
• Exposure to business finance and buying requirements is desirable
• Experience with all aspects of IT projects from business analysis, architecture, system analysis and design through development, testing, implementation, and production support highly desirable.

• NQF 6 Technical diploma or relevant technical experience.
• Backup technology e.g. Veritas, Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik knowledge and certification advantageous.
• Storage, high availability and data management knowledge and certification are advantageous
• Valid code 8 drivers license and own reliable transport.
• Stable internet at home.

• Ability to articulate solutions from a technical and business perspective
• Understanding of infrastructure architecture and the data lifecycle.
• Understanding of Zero Trust Architectures
• Working knowledge of cloud architecture.
• Strong understanding of backup and storage technologies and architecture.
• MS Office literacy (Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook essential).
• Skills with Azure and AWS will be advantageous.
• Experience with MS Project will be advantageous.
