Role: Solutions Architect - Back up and Storage Solutions - Business Development Team
Location: Hybrid work from home / office - Paulshoff Johannesburg.

Role: As the Solutions Architect you will be responsible for supporting the business development sales team in providing; solutions across multiple levels, technical understanding and expertise across multiple platforms, infrastructure and hybrid cloud systems, in order to develop designs, solutions, architectures and documentation as input to the sales process for customers from start to the conclusion of a sales deal.

Responsibilities:
Provide technical architecture and high-level designs.
Perform as a Tech-Lead in the development, design, and implementation of solutions.
Collaborate with Engineering, Account Managers and Project Managers.
Interact with clients to create requirement specifications for technical proposals and designs.
Innovate new solutions and keep up with new emerging technologies.
Analyse and understand the business requirements and translate the requirements into a technical solution architecture.
Analysing the technology environment and enterprise specifics.
Cost the solution and proposal end-to-end.
Document requirements.

Work Experience / skills required:
10+ years of relevant experience within the IT industry.
5+ years experience in architecting supporting technologies.
Exposure to business finance and buying requirements desirable.
Proposal writing experience.
Business development /sales knowledge.
Extensive track record implementing and managing large complex enterprise storage solutions desirable.
Designing and deploying large complex enterprise storage and backup solutions desirable.
Experience in designing storage technology and integrating various cloud storage options desirable.
Experience in designing backup infrastructure and supplementing with cloud storage desirable.
Strong understanding of backup and storage technologies and architecture.
Backup technology e.g. Veritas, Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik knowledge and certification advantageous.
Storage, high availability and data management knowledge and certification advantageous.
Understanding of infrastructure architecture and the data lifecycle.
Understanding of Zero Trust Architectures

Working knowledge of cloud architecture.
Qualifications required:
Technical diploma or relevant technical experience with supporting certifications.
NQF 7 or higher will be advantageous.
Valid code 8 driverxe2x80x99s license and own reliable transport.
Stable internet at home.
