We are seeking an exceptional Solution Owner to take technical ownership of standard solutions within our Electronic Warfare (EW) product line. This role acts as the System Engineer for allocated solutions and ensures their technical integrity, alignment to product strategies, and readiness for deployment.
As the custodian of key EW product configurations, you will shape solution architectures, define requirements, guide roadmap execution, and drive multi-disciplinary development activities. You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Systems Engineering, and Engineering teams to develop innovative, compliant, and market-leading EW solutions.
This is a strategic and highly technical position suited to an experienced engineer with deep EW domain knowledge and strong product systems insight.
Qualification and experience:

B Eng Electronic Engineering (essential).
5-10 years' experience in product or solution development within the Electronic Warfare (EW) domain.
Proven experience performing systems engineering, product lifecycle management, or solution architecture in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Key technical skills
------------------------
Strong Product Life Cycle Management understanding and application.
Requirements management proficiency from use case creation to detailed specifications.
Applied Systems Engineering knowledge for solution development.
Ability to think strategically to align technical solutions with business growth objectives.
Knowledge of commercial and military environmental qualification and regulatory standards.
Experience managing hardware & software baselines, product verification, and test processes.
Capability to collaborate within multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
Project management knowledge and execution skills.
Key responsibilities

1. Define Standard Product Configurations
----------------------------------------------
Interpret product line goals as defined by Product Management.
Translate system requirements into practical solution configurations in collaboration with Product Owners and Systems Engineering.
Align proposed solutions with high-level requirements and stakeholder expectations.
Develop technical solution documentation, including specifications, reliability criteria, and use-case guidelines.
2. Requirements Management
Create and maintain clear, complete product and solution requirements.
Ensure requirements flow from Product Management to Engineering teams.
Support hardware and software teams in user-centred design development.
Provide continuous feedback to stakeholders on requirement changes and impacts.
3. Product Roadmaps
Contribute to the creation of solution and product roadmaps with Product Management.
Assist with roadmap visualisation and communication.
Drive technical development of new products and features aligned to roadmap priorities.
Review market trends, customer feedback and technological shifts to motivate roadmap adjustments.
4. Internal Stakeholder Support
Act as technical expert for Marketing & Sales during customer engagements.
Develop technical notes, white papers, and bid support documentation.
Provide technical leadership during customer demonstrations.
Support Systems Engineering in customer project execution.
5. Development Execution
Align development activities with product roadmaps, ensuring delivery to scope, budget and timeline.
Communicate product features and specifications clearly to design teams.
Conduct regular progress reviews and support issue resolution.
Ensure human-centred design principles are applied throughout development.
6. Product Baseline Management
Define and manage hardware and software baselines for allocated solutions.
7. Testing & Verification
Oversee regular testing and verification of solution baselines.
Ensure field testing and qualification processes are executed after major updates.
Maintain up-to-date certification and environmental qualification for solutions.
