Job Description
Our client in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Solution Architect to join our IT team. This is a key leadership role responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing enterprise-level information systems and architectures that support our critical business functions.
Key respsonsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement long-term IT strategies and roadmaps.
- Align solutions with organisational goals and business functions.
- Research emerging technologies and recommend best-fit solutions.
- Design solution architecture models and detailed product specifications.
- Translate business and functional requirements into architectural designs.
- Provide expert input on integration, performance, and scalability of systems.
- Serve as a liaison between IT and business units.
- Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
- Mediate technical conflicts and drive equitable architectural decisions.
- Conduct system analysis, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
- Guide the business on leveraging IT to improve operations and outcomes.
- Mentor team members and share architectural expertise.
- Essential:
- Matric (Grade 12) and a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related.
- 12+ years of relevant IT experience.
- Advantageous:
- Postgraduate qualification in a related field.
- Experience with IT infrastructure and cloud technologies.
