Job Description

:
The role is a mix of consulting and advisory, which requires reviewing and advising on documentation from project inception until its closure after deployment. This requires interaction with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Solution architects, to assess the outputs from these team members against industry knowledge and published internal standards. The role also requires on-site assessments of the execution of the project against the same standards, agreed designs and against what is contracted to be delivered, ensuring the company is delivered what is expected.

• Ability to assess business requirements and provide input / guidance to the business analyst team.

• Understanding the content of the standards and how they are applied against projects, as well as advise on any possible standards to be included based on their industry experience

• Apply critical thinking against the impact of the project to existing solutions and other inflight projects.

• Have a wide understanding of other projects to identify interdependence and re-use possibilities

• Investigate and update existing standards should there be gaps or should the document be outdated.

• Assessment of project execution on location

• Report on the creation of findings and remediation actions

• Collaborating with project managers

• Ensure that projects delivered are of a high quality to avoid re-work,

• Identify best practices to be implemented with life of mine maintenance methods considered, as well as to avoid wastage where projects overlap

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Mining and/or industrial plant projects and processes

• IT/OT convergence in terms of the Purdue model

• Sensor to cloud data flow and considerations

• Cyber Security

• Industrial control system architecture

• Data centre design (servers, storage, switching, firewalls, virtual machines etc)

• Hosting facilities design (UPS, cooling, access control, CCTV etc.)

• Data Backup and recovery methods

• Industrial networks

• Mining application - Pit to Customer

• Experience with Data Management from creation to Reporting and Visualization
