The role of the Solutions Architect (IT Risk/Governance) encompasses many activities including (but not limited to):
Design and architect scalable, reliable, and secure IT solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to governance standards.
Conducting risk assessments and identify potential vulnerabilities and threats to proposed solutions.
Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, including security controls and contingency plans, to minimise exposure to potential risks.
Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, such as data protection regulations and security frameworks.
Collaborating with stakeholders to establish governance frameworks and ensure alignment with organisational policies and procedures.
Documenting governance and risk management aspects of solution designs, including risk assessments, compliance requirements, and mitigation strategies.
Communicating effectively with project stakeholders and other teams to address governance and risk-related concerns and ensure the successful implementation of solutions
Requirements
Any 3-year diploma (NQF Level 6) and a certification in IT Risk Management
Minimum of 5 years' experience in:
IT Risk or Governance Specialist across ICT domain; and
Working and consulting in Enterprise Organisation (of more than 1000 users).
Minimum of 3 years' experience in:
Implementing policies and frameworks for IT security and risk management; and
