We are looking for a QA Tester whose primary responsibility will be to run and test systems, applications, and software products to identify issues before deploying changes to Production.
This person should report all the bugs and execute test cases efficiently. Their ultimate goal will be to ensure that all our systems and apps function smoothly without any issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Dealing with the setup and maintenance of test environments.
Developing test plans, test data, test automation, and test cases, and prioritizing test activities.
Executing and clearly documenting test plans (not just the test cases) for the module, covering all aspects of testing for quality.
Running and testing new apps and processes.
Ensure alignment with specifications.
Perform testing after the release or implementation phase.
Execute regression testing to verify that software updates don't negatively affect existing functionality.
Identifying bugs and creating reports to highlight the status of all modules.
Updating all bug databases with accurate and complete information.
Coordinating with the development team to troubleshoot problems
Communicate progress, status, and issues during the testing process with the relevant Business teams
Attending daily/weekly test status meetings
Document test results and findings for future reference
Document new and existing processes
Provide the relevant level of support.
Matric
A formal tertiary qualification will be to your advantage (ISTQB Certified)
2 years of experience as a Tester
2 years of experience in testing automation (Selenium/Cypress)
Problem Solving skills
Good written and verbal communication,
Effective time management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good written and verbal communication ability
Detail-oriented, well-organized, and quick to learn
Being technically competent is preferred, although not essential for this role
You must be comfortable working alone or as part of a team
Understand the principles of testing in an Agile environment
Be flexible in a quick-changing and fast-paced work environment
A passion to improve the user's experience while being customer-focused
The ability to build trust and partnership with our customers and your colleagues
