Title Software Tester

• Conduct analysis of trends and requirements for POS, POI environment.
• Design and compile procedures relating to internal technical support and operational activities.
• Install, maintain, upgrade and version control for POS, POI software used by customers
• Responsible for setup, management, & testing of payment terminals (e.g. POIs and POS)
• Maintain, report and release notes
• Analysis, quality assurance and writing & maintenance of test cases
• Ensure best practices are followed and maintained (e.g. PCI, ITIL)
• Understand the EMV Certification process
• Responsible for software testing.
• Assist with POS deployment projects.
• Conduct internal and external training on POS, POI and associated equipment
• Provide technical support to customers on POS, POI.
• Respond to customer queries and complaints.
• Conduct software upgrades
• Optimise POS, POI system configurations
• Test automation
• Test scripts and execution

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Educational Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or Technical Support NQF 4 Certificate
• Tertiary qualifications advantageous
• EMVCo Certifications advantageous

Years of Experience

• Payments industry 3 to 5 years (0-2Years)
• Transaction testing & switching

• Contribution towards Operational, Development and project design and architecture documentation.
• Support of PCI and other ISO compliances within environments
• EMVCo experience, including use of Savvi or UL tool sets advantageous
• MS SQL skills advantageous ( Why is this a requirement)
• Assist with release note maintenance
• Root cause analysis
• Good customer relationship techniques

• Good troubleshooting, analytical and process elimination skills
• Computer literate. Knowledge of MS Excel and Word is required.
