Job Summary Position: Software Technical Test Analyst
Salary: Negotiable Depending on experience.
Location: Pretoria
The perfect candidate will have formal software development training and/or work experience.
Duties:

• Ensure efficient and effective test planning and estimation of time required.
• Ensure that all software received from the developers is quality assured through a process of vigorous application integration/regression testing, functional and non-functional.
• Writing test cases/scripts and documenting these in a Test Plan/User Acceptance document.
• Executing test scripts.
• Strong Communication with clients and the rest of the team.
• Reporting and analysis of application defects.
• Attending team meetings.
• Meeting end users to gain a better understanding of quality assurance issues.

Key Competencies: * Must have at least 6-8+ years proven experience in Software Testing whereof at least 3+ years solid experience as a Technical Test Analyst.

• Candidates must have solid and proven SQL skills and experience in creating and running SQL scripts (MySQL and Oracle).
• Solid experience in non-functional testing required
• Proven skills or experience in programming with JAVA or other similar programming languages. (Junior level)
• A good understanding of the systems development lifecycle.
• Knowledge and experience of different Test Methodologies.
• General system/IT infrastructure knowledge.

Qualification:

• N.Dip/B.Sc in Information Technology or Computer Science or other relevant degree required (Not negotiable).
• ISEB/ISTQB Foundation certificate or higher and major advantage if candidate completed a ISEB/ISTQB Technical Test Analyst certificate.

Advantages:

• Major advantage if the candidate has testing experience in a SAP ERP or similar Enterprise ERP integrated environment.
• An added advantage if the candidate has skills and experience with automated test tools and/or performance test tools.
• An added advantage if the candidate has skills and experience with Linux environments

Other Competencies: * Ability to interact professionally with clients and business/operations.

• Adaptability to rapidly changing environment/technology.
• Variable daily hours and overtime hours where necessary will be a requirement.
• Own reliable transport.
