Job Summary Our client, a leading organisation in the ICT Sector is seeking to URGENTLY appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Software Senior Developer to be based in their Offices on the Northern Outskirts of Johannesburg. KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS : At minimum a Degree/Diploma in ICT/Computer Science or equivalent, with a minimum of 8 years of solidly grounded experience in software development. In-depth understanding of networks and network principles. Working knowledge of data backup and recovery principles will prove a distinct advantage. Excellent writing, documenting, and communication skills in English. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent computer literacy skills. DevOps knowledge and experience advantageous. Comprehensive knowledge of software programming concepts and techniques. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Software Development: Develop, create, and modify computer applications software. Analyse user needs and design software solutions. Customize software for client use to optimize operational efficiency. Analyse and design databases within an application area. Modify existing software to correct errors or improve performance. Consult with customers about software system design and maintenance. Participate in R&D activities to enhance performance and functionality. Report to management on system status. Investigate, analyse, and resolve system errors. Liaise with third-party vendors/suppliers to resolve system problems. Ensure software license compliance. Maintain system documentation. Interface with clients to address and resolve issues.
