Our client needs a compliance champion who can turn regulatory headaches into slick, auditable systems. Think of yourself as the Siya Kolisi of secure APIs--leading from the front while keeping the team in shape.
You'll architect and build risk & compliance features for financial services--AML/KYC workflows, sanctions checks, automated filings, and dashboards that even your gran would understand. From backend wizardry to product engineering finesse, you'll make compliance feel like a Kaizer Chiefs home game: structured, strategic, and full of flair.
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 7+ years in software engineering (4+ in compliance systems)
Backend mastery: Java (Spring Security), Python, Go
Frontend flair: React / Angular
SQL & NoSQL (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch)
Cloud chops: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
Deep knowledge of AML, KYC, MiFID II, CCAR
Bonus points if you've dabbled in no-code tools or AI for compliance
Qualification:
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or equivalent experience
