Job Description
Job title: Software Engineer
Locations: Stellenbosch (Hybrid)
Become a part of a talented agile team dedicated to creating software for a service-oriented architecture within a continuous integration setting. This system serves skilled operators and analysts and is designed to operate autonomously.
Technology stack: Go / Java / C++ backend, Kafka, gRPC.
Qualifications & Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- From 2 years' experience as a software developer.
- Proficient in any of the following: Go, Java, C or C++, Kafka, gRPC.
- Most development is done in Go.
- Experience in protocol processing will be advantageous but not essential.
- Become a contributing team member developing high-quality software for distributed systems.
- Solve customer problems and deliver the right product while taking full end-to-end ownership of all implemented features.
- Develop robust, reliable, high-throughput, available back-end software systems and integrate them with other components and/or sub-systems.
- Help to extend the organisation's position as market leader by building systems that add value to customers, are scalable and can adapt to the ever-growing volume of telecoms traffic.
