Job Summary Our client, an international player in the Software Engineering industry is seeking to URGENTLY appoint a dynamic and suitably qualified Software Engineer: Embedded C/C++, to be based in their Western Cape, South african Offices. Our client is seeking a full time Mid-level to Senior Software Engineer. In this role, you will be given ownership of software and algorithm development for new radar products and applications. You will be expected to take significant ownership of software development for new products, as part of an international cross-functional team. KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS: At Minimum a Bachelors Degree in Electronic or Computer Engineering. 3+ years of experience in software development A relevant Master''s Degree in Engineering would be advantageous. Proficiency in designing and implementing embedded software in C or C++ Ability to take ownership of software development for a major product component Be an avid Team player, comfortably communicating and collaborating with local and international teammates Possess excellent verbal and written communication skillS. The ability to explore new low-cost radar technologies A Track record that demonstrates Creativitivity to innovate amazing new products that people use every day The abillity to d eliver high-quality products through mass production and into the market. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Mentoring your cross-functional team to innovate new radar technology for integration in cutting-edge consumer products Designing and implementing the embedded software using C/C++ Developing and optimising the radar algorithms using MATLAB Finding the technical root cause of a variety of problems, and providing reliable solutions Software requirements, architecture, detailed design and test plans Peer reviews of software designs, algorithms and source code Software release testing and hardware/software integration testing. Lead a small team of software engineers developing a system component Contribute to PC tools development using C# and Python Travel to offices in the USA, Canada and Taiwan where and when needed.
