This is a Software Developer (PHP) role, ideal for someone who wants to deepen both back-end and front-end skills, and be part of a team working on Intelligent Virtual Agent technologies for big, recognisable brands.
What the job involves..
Migrating, building, extending, and maintaining platforms built in PHP
Working on both back-end and front-end web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP)
Setting up, configuring, and integrating Intelligent Virtual Agents using the company's configuration tools
Collaborating closely with the AI and Automation teams
Writing clean, maintainable code aligned with the company's coding methodology
Supporting applications and environments in production
Working within Agile/Scrum ways of working and contributing to continuous improvement
What you need to be considered..
2-4 years of software development experience with PHP
Experience building web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
Understanding of SQL databases (e.g. MySQL)
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented development methodologies
Comfortable working within Agile and/or Scrum environments
Good communication and technical documentation skills
Relevant qualification: Diploma in Information Technology, BTech (IT), Computer Science, or equivalent
A degree is a significant advantage
Customer-first mindset and a passion for technology
Self-starter - proactive and self-driven, with an internal locus of control
Positive attitude and willingness to share knowledge and collaborate with a team
Bonus points if you..
Have experience with PHP MVC frameworks (e.g. Laravel)
Have exposure to state management systems
Have experience with AWS technologies
Are comfortable working in Linux environments (e.g. Ubuntu, CentOS)
Have experience or strong interest in Agentic AI, Prompting, and Intelligent Virtual Assistants / Chatbots
Enjoy thinking at scale and solving complex problems across enterprise environments
