Our client is seeking a Software Application Support Specialist to join their dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide application support to users: answer, resolve, and log in-bound customer queries, identify issues, and offer both immediate and long-term solutions.
• Investigate and analyse system issues to determine root causes and appropriate corrective actions.
• Participate in the design and delivery of system developments and enhancements, ensuring alignment with budget, timelines, specifications, and industry standards.
• Offer system knowledge and consultancy for projects across divisions, ensuring business process requirements and best practices are met.
• Review and recommend continuous improvements for systems and support processes.
• Document technical information and processes for existing and new functionality to maintain up-to-date system support.
• Maintain data quality and integrity within systems.
• Communicate clearly, professionally, and appropriately with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
• Perform system maintenance tasks according to agreed schedules.

Requirements:

• Experience in application support.
• Intermediate SQL expertise and the ability to write complex queries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Experience supporting and maintaining production systems in a customer-facing environment.
• Ability to organize workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Familiarity with database systems, reporting, and query tools.
• Demonstrable technical aptitude.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 1st-year tertiary level in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Accounting.
• 2+ years' experience with SQL fundamentals and complex query writing.
• 2+ years' experience in MS Excel and VBA.
• Solid general computing knowledge, including basic Windows troubleshooting, networking fundamentals, and application installation.
• Excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
