Job Title: Social Worker Company: Serenity Addiction Treatment Unit Location: Merebank, Durban Job Type: Full-time About Us: As a leading addiction facility, we are committed to providing psycho-social therapy, support, advocacy, and guidance to help people overcome and manage challenges and improve their quality of life. We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Social Workers to join our team Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the needs and strengths of clients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and treatment goals.
• Provide counseling, support, and advocacy to clients, including crisis/trauma intervention when needed.
• Collaborate with other external agencies and professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain detailed and confidential client records.
• Stay current on relevant social work practices and regulations.
• Offer guidance and support to clients in navigating the complexities of the social service system.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work (BSW or MSW).
• Registration with SACSSP.
• Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Compassion and dedication to helping individuals and families in need.
• Knowledge of social service resources and community support.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-4 years work experience in a social work or related field.
• Specialization in a particular area of social work (e.g., child and family services, gerontology, mental health, etc.).
• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is a plus.
