The primary objective of this role is to deliver comprehensive psychosocial, educational, and welfare support to students residing in campus accommodations. This is accomplished through a combination of individualised attention, group initiatives, and community engagement strategies designed to promote overall well-being, resilience, and academic achievement. Our approach is rooted in a student-centred philosophy and is guided by a professional, multidisciplinary framework of primary healthcare, ensuring that each student's unique needs are met with compassion and expertise.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Ensure that university and national policies relevant to the residential landscape are effectively initiated and implemented, particularly those with a focus on social welfare.
Provide expert assistance to students facing complex domestic, social, and adjustment challenges.
Offer guidance regarding residential discipline.
Oversee the daily administration of social welfare services.

REQUIREMENTS

An M+4 qualification in Social Work.
3 5 years relevant working experience
Registration with the relevant state authority (SACSSP).
A valid Driving Licence would be an added advantage.
